Dr. Anthony Tran is the Marvin and Dee Ann Woodall Endowed Chair of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Doylestown Hospital. A board-certified surgeon trained in all aspects of adult cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Tran prides himself on providing uncompromising care to all of his patients. Dr. Tran is fellowship trained in cardiothoracic surgery at nationally ranked Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Plano. His training consisted of both traditional open surgery (via median sternotomy), advanced minimally invasive cardiothoracic surgery (Heart Port / mini thoracotomy, robotic-assisted, and partial sternotomy) and structural heart intervention (TAVR). Dr. Tran’s work appears in peer-reviewed journals including Perfusion, Circulation, Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Journal of Cardiothoracic Disease, and Current Challenges in Thoracic Surgery. He is the honored recipient of multiple fellowship awards from the American Association of Thoracic Surgery and has delivered numerous presentations to colleagues at national conferences. His areas of expertise include complex valve repair & reconstruction and minimally invasive cardiac surgery.
