Employee Recognition

Daisy Award

Our health system participates in an international recognition program, The DAISY Award, started in memory of J. Patrick Barnes to express gratitude to nurses for outstanding, compassionate care. The program honors one registered nurse each month. Winning nurses receive a special pin and a hand-carved statue award. DAISY Award winners are also entitled to various scholarships.

Our nurses are nominated by anyone in the organization — patients, family members, other nurses, physicians, other clinicians and staff — anyone who experiences or observes extraordinary compassionate care being provided by a nurse.

Testimonials

"I have spent my entire 48-year career with Doylestown Health but it feels like just yesterday that I joined the team here. This is my home away from home and the people I work with are like family. Even on a bad day, my co-workers and patients always put a smile on my face. My mother worked here for 20 years and my daughter even works here now, so this is truly more than just a job. It’s a family!"
Robyn Miranda – Anesthesia Technician

"I have been with Doylestown Health for over 34 years and I am so glad that I spent almost my entire nursing career here at Doylestown Hospital. It is an honor to work somewhere that is so well-respected throughout the community, and I am proud to be a part of the culture that has been created here. At Doylestown Health, your co-workers are like family!"
Leann Warfel – Nursing Director

"I have spent my entire 27-year career with Doylestown Health and even volunteered at the hospital when I was a teenager! I have stayed with Doylestown for so long because of the culture and the great people I work with. Our management has always given me the flexibility to unite my career with my personal life and meet the needs of my family. Doylestown Health offers opportunities to grow and move throughout your department to meet your own personal goals and that makes it a truly great place to work!"
