In Bucks County alone, drug overdose mortality rates stand close to 11%. Doylestown Health is uniquely situated to provide help to those who are seeking treatment from opioid use disorder. One of these emerging treatment options, “Medication Assisted Treatment” or MAT (in the form of buprenorphine), is being offered by the Emergency Physicians at Doylestown Hospital. Come learn from Dr. Brenda Foley, medical director of the Emergency Department (ED), about how opioid use disorder presents in the ED, and how our specialty-trained ED physicians can provide a whole-patient approach to treatment for our community.
