Spring outdoors with a bike rider | Doylestown Health

Doylestown Health remains committed to bringing quality education to the community. Join Doylestown Health certified health education specialists and nutritionists, local mental health professionals and other select local professionals as they present important subject matter.

Doylestown Health is pleased to offer both in-person and virtual classes and events. We also offer an outdoor, socially distanced, low-impact exercise and health education activity called Walk With a Doc. Registration is required.

Virtual Learning Made Easy

Follow these easy steps to pre-register for a virtual class:

  2. You will receive an email in advance of the class start time containing a link to follow on the day of the scheduled virtual class.
  3. Mark your calendar!
  4. At the time of your scheduled virtual class(es), using a smartphone, tablet, or computer, locate the confirmation email and click the "Join Virtual" link OR "Click Here to Join" link. Please note, some virtual events may require a password to join – this can be found in the registration confirmation email.

Relaxation on the Go

Tuesday, April 5, 2022 – 11 to 11:30 am and 12 to 12:30 pm

Stress is everywhere, especially when change is present. Unfortunately, no one is immune to the impact of stress. Therefore, it is time we learn to manage stress and utilize relaxation techniques on the go! Join a Doylestown Health Educator and Holistic Stress Management Instructor to explore some portable relaxation techniques, so you can address the symptoms of stress right when they occur.

Start by examining your oral hygiene habits as dental health has a large impact on one’s quality and quantity of sleep. Join Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic’s Public Health Dental Hygienist, Tina Erb to learn more about the relationship between dental hygiene practices and sleep. In addition, Ann Silverman Community Health Clinic’s Executive Director Sally Fabian will provide insight to the clinic’s partnership with Doylestown Health.

The reality is, if one factor is out of balance, the others will follow suit. This leads to decreased overall health and feelings of "blah." Come learn the relationship between stress and nutrition from a Doylestown Health Educator.

Do you know your (health) numbers? Take advantage of this stress-free health screening to get instant results from a quick finger prick. Attendees will receive glucose, total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides and body fat numbers. In less than 15 minutes, you will walk away with a snapshot of your current health and access to a large network of clinical experts who can enhance your well-being. Fee: $25. Mental Health Series: The Shape of Mental Health and Addiction

Wednesday, April 27 – 5 to 6 pm

Mental health disorders and substance use disorders (SUDs) are two distinct conditions; however, the two often go hand-in-hand. Individuals with loved ones struggling with mental health conditions and/or SUDs know how complex this relationship can be. Join Graham Craig, Lenape Valley Foundation Therapist, to explore how mental health impacts addiction and vice versa.
